Black Beans and Onions

1 tsp butter
1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
1 medium onion, diced
1 pinch salt
1 pinch pepper

Preparation

1. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for 5 minutes. The onion should stay crisp, not brown.

2. Add the beans and cook for 3 - 4 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
